ripe

120 trees planted in may, have become 120 trees thriving in november

and now some of the handful of fruit that have developed have ripened

and just for a bit of context, this is the only orchard where 100% of the trees have survived the trauma of being transported and planted and the struuggle for getting established…including english apples from some of the most well regarded nurseries in europe, including almonds from france, everything…100% survival is something that never happens…we were hoping for the usual 90 odd%, and that they would be healthy, and maybe a few olives in a few years…ambitious enough

and now it seems that our new east devon climate throws out enough energy to fire the internal engines up, not only to create fruit, but to ripen it

  • This genuinely hits home for me, being a smoker of 27 many years i’m able to truely vouch for those that wish to quit but just cant seem to kick the habit. Recently i just took aggressive steps in order to quit and that i have already been dreading likely in to acquire my lungs checked to see what the damage is. Naturally i know that this technique is not available everywhere but its superior to know that it is out there and eventually it will make its way into the mainstream.
